Specialising in both adult and paediatric cases, Judith works extensively with individuals who have complex scars and rehabilitation needs. Judith qualified in 1995 with a BSC (Hons) in Occupational Therapy and has over 25 years of experience in scar management, treatment, and rehabilitation, making her a highly sought-after specialist in her field.
Judith works with patients to navigate the often complicated process of healing and recovery, offering support and treatment options tailored to their unique needs. Her skills extend to treating a wide variety of debilitating injuries and scars, ranging from severe burns, road traffic incidents, scalds, work related injuries, house fires and surgical scarring.
Judith also has first hand experience working with patients with life changing scarring and understands the physical and psychological impact these injuries can have. Judith has worked closely with individuals impacted by the Troubles in Northern Ireland as well as patients with a variety of cancer and oncology related scarring.
Having personally experienced the devastating effects of cancer, Judith underwent mastectomy, breast reconstruction, and axillary lymph node removal. This deeply personal journey has provided her with invaluable insights into the physical, emotional, and psychological aspects of living with and overcoming such experiences.
Judith regularly works as part of a multidisciplinary teams, providing specialist treatments within theatre environments, at ward level and in outpatient settings.
